Instructions for Best Use:

 [No Heat - Blender Method]

  • In a large container, add the desired amount of Irish moss that you would like to use, and cover it with spring or distilled water. Make sure that the water covers the moss by 2-3 times because the moss will expand when rehydrated.
  • Allow the moss to rehydrate for 6-12 hours.
  • Pour off the water, and thoroughly rinse your moss (3-4 times) until all the sand/salt has been removed.
  • Place your Irish sea moss into your blender.
  • Add distilled or spring water until it fills halfway up to the height of your sea moss in the blender.
  • Blend until smooth, then store your Irish moss gel in a clean glass container in the refrigerator. 

 [Using Heat - Boiling Method]

  • In a large container, add the desired amount of Irish moss that you would like to use, and cover it with spring or distilled water. Make sure that the water covers the moss by 2-3 times because the moss will expand when rehydrated.
  • Allow the moss to rehydrate for 6-12 hours.
  • Pour off the water, and thoroughly rinse your moss (3-4 times) until all the sand/salt has been removed.
  • Bring a pot of water large enough to hold your Irish Moss to a boil.
  • Once the water starts to boil, turn the stove off and place your sea moss into the pot.
  • Stir the moss until it dissolves into the water.
  • Once all the moss has dissolved, allow it to cool before placing it into the refrigerator.

Storage:
